Many people still love stories about heroes saving princesses and entire kingdoms. Everyone in childhood dreamed of being a brave knight who gallops towards fate along a road full of dangers and various adventures. Nowadays there are really a lot of games that make you feel this. But most of them are incredibly long and complex. Sometimes you want a simple and short story. So that the adventure itself doesn’t get boring at the 35th turn.
So the Lonely Troops studio decided to make its contribution to this genre by making its own series of games about heroes of different stripes – “Hero of the Kingdom”. The name speaks for itself. Again an ordinary wanderer-hero, again a kingdom that needs to be saved. But it’s better to start over.

A restrained fantasy tale, not full www.casinoprime.uk of pathos, flowers and dragons. This is how I would describe this game. The game world is a map with dozens of areas, which in turn are static pictures. By the way, they are beautifully detailed and filled with barely moving objects. The world seemed to freeze and lost some of its liveliness in all its manifestations. On the screen you can even see small mushrooms, nests and other searchable objects. They can be either plot-based or not.
The game has a well-chosen musical accompaniment that is not full of epic motifs about saving the world. The music, rather, tries to convey the spirit of adventure and exploration, and can also surprise in a couple of moments with its expression. In general, the soundtracks turned out to be atmospheric and simple, just what a game like this needs.
The gameplay is reminiscent of an old school quest, in which we find something in order to complete the next task and move on. But it’s not that simple. The game contains: herbalism, potions, fishing, hunting, battles. It’s not difficult to understand all these mechanics. To carry out any tasks, you need strength (that is, endurance), if it drops to zero, you need to sleep, for which you need to find food. Our “poor fellow” cannot go to sleep on an empty stomach! Next, I decided to describe the above mechanics in more detail.
Hunting occurs in 2 ways – simple and complex. What is their difference?? It’s simple. Simple hunting takes place with a knife, difficult with a bow. The battles are exactly the same. For example, for a battle we need 10 strength, 1 knife and 1 certain potion depending on the enemy. You can either buy elixirs from healers, or prepare them yourself by collecting herbs. Fishing is extremely clear. Need a fishing rod, tackle and strength.
You can collect everything on the map and nothing is renewed. Vacuuming the location is advisable, but not necessary.
The game is quite unusual in this regard. The player does not have a regular inventory, with 4-6 items that can be combined with each other. Instead, there is some kind of cache where the main character places all the goods he finds, or people?! Ahem, ahem… In fact, inventory performs not only the functions of a warehouse. He is able to show the skills he has learned, companions who are in the party with you, skills, fame, gold, etc.
At the end of the game, the inventory screen increases to unprecedented proportions. For example, with its help, it would probably be possible to build a city. Don’t also forget that the game involves hiring people for different needs. What may sound somewhat ambiguous..
What is the result?. This is a rather banal but interesting adventure. I didn’t specifically say anything about the plot, because it’s not bad and many will like it. If you start writing about the plot component, then everyone will certainly mention that this is a cliché that has been seen millions of times. It is best to read a work for the first time, doing it yourself. Russian language in the game is at a decent level. Fortunately there is only text, no voice acting. I think the game deserves commendable and ratings 8/10, since it takes about 5 hours to complete and does not have time to get boring. But we have our own adventure waiting for us in this series, and fortunately it has a lot of parts.
